the ORIGINAL with Paul Lynde and host (love his name) Peter Marshall, was the sickest, double entendré game show. I love Whoop, and I know she loved that show, but, her re-do... nope.

I loved the first series opening: this synth chord, then, Martin Landau turns to the camera. Another synth chord, then Barbara Bain turns to the camera. then another chord, and 'SPACE: 1999' comes up. an Eagle (spaceship) plummets, then the music gets going, and 'this episode,' with scenes if that episode. COOL!

the BEST show EVER made. bar NONE. This show doesn't pander to you. it challenges you. if you miss a few seconds, this show's so densely packed, you've missed out.
if you think shows like LOST are 'well done,' you've not seen THE PRISONER (the AMC show of a few years ago's crap).
17 episodes. never equalled.
that says something about this show's quality - & the LACK of elsewhere.

I'm twisted. There's NOTHING about this game show that involves ANY intelligence. all it's about is 'big bucks, no whammies.'
I'm not a snob, though I HATE most of the crap today that patronises you, and pretends it's something it's not.

I TRULY believe, that ANY problem you might have, can be solved... by 'Mare.'
I love this show. this was when there was TALENT - both in front, and behind the camera. Mary wasn't afraid to play the 'straight' one. Not only did she star, and have her name on it, but she owned the production company. But, she understood that it wasn't about ego: it was about letting TALENT shine.
