I agree. The spastic nature of the film turns off a lot of would-be readers. Shame. And kudos for referring to something as "a cracker."

Ate here last night and it was delicious. Huge cocktail shrimp. My friend had the panko shrimp and fell in love.

Finally tried this tody and loved it! Share music with a virtual room of people. It's like being at a party where there is equal control over the sound system.

Maybe the quickest read of my life. I read this in two days. Her writing is fun and easy, but not devoid of content. Tells the story of her life so far, while also speaking to great trends in society and culture. Tina Fey, I have a mega celeb crush on you.

The Warriors series of books is written by "Erin Hunter" which is the pen name of a few different people collaborating. While written for younger children, I find the story absolutely captivating. I told one person "it's like Harry Potter...but with cats...and no real magic".

I think you'd have to be in the right mindset to really fall in love with Buffy at first sight. It also depends on which episode you see first. But I do know that this TV show actually changed my life and the characters continue to inspire me.

One of my absolutely favorite movies. I can't recall how many times I've seen it, but it still impresses me on each viewing. Beautifully shot, strikingly acted, and a now classic plot.

A surprisingly impressive collection of short stories. The last one tended to drag a little for me, but the first two stories are highly engaging and creepy.

My absolute favorite of King's works. Began my deep-seated love of all things post-apocalyptic.

I tend to stay away from uber-popular series in the YA genre, just because I don't like the feeling of hype permeating my pages. But The Hunger Games is well worth the hype it receives. Katniss is a complex and tragically heroic character that I feel comfortable serving as an inspiration to modern youth.

Personally, I feel like A Clockwork Orange is an overlooked classic. Perhaps it's because of the violence or the over-saturation of the film's imagery, but this is definitely a book worth reading. The characters are much more complex than what you may think if you've only seen the film. Also, the ending is a cracker.

One of my favorite of Vonnegut's works. Don't let the non-linear storytelling put you off, some of these scenes are more beautiful than a painting.

Wuthering Heights is not just the penultimate love story. It is a book filled with some of the most complicated, intricate, and detailed characters you will ever read. It questions life just as much as love and leave you strangely humbled.

My mom urged me to read this book, and I am so thankful I finally did. A girl with a very, very unstable childhood somehow creates a beautiful life for herself and does so without labeling herself a victim.

Warning: I'm pretty certain The Sneetches made me a bleeding-heart socialist liberal with crazy ideas of equality.

I started out as a comprehensive history major. My first class my freshman year was American Women's History in which I was so inspired I picked up a Women's Studies minor and decided Women's History was what I wanted to teach. Then I found myself taking more Women's Studies classes than History classes, so I became a double major. Every college career can benefit from a Women's Studies class.

This series of books of one of my absolute favorites. And this isn't a "I read it when I was younger so it makes sense" kind of thing. I read this, the first book, when I was 24. It's now at book 10 and Georgia Nicolson is still my personal hero. Engaging, funny, and sometimes touching, I can't think of a reason why anyone wouldn't like them.

Watched this again last night, Franco's performance gets me every time and is well worth his Oscar Nomination. Don't let the simple plotline concept or claims of intense gore put you off this amazing film. Great soundtrack, cinematography and sound editing also.
