Some numbers published today seem to indicate that the newest version of Safari is not only the most error prone browser out there today, but also the most error prone browser Apple have ever released.

Another heavyweight Unix design book, this time its strength is how it compares and contrasts the *nix variants' implementation of newer (then) OS features, such as LWP's ,IPC and scheduling.

The first Unix kernel book I bought and still the best. After a brief intro to the (then) current state of *nix (ref: Magic Garden) it dives into a deep explanation of the major kernel subsystems with explanations of the associated data structures. Essential.

Incredibly stark contrast between the living conditions of children from around the world, made more striking by the photographer James Mollison's choice of their bedrooms as his subject matter.

Supposedly the worlds hottest pepper, registering over 1M on the Scoville scale. Apparently it's been ousted as hottest pepper, but doesn't change the fact that you'll most likely need hospitalized if you eat one whole. Now that sounds like a challenge, doesn't it.

Learn what google thinks about your browsing preferences. I love getting these little ephemeral glimpses into what Google knows about me. It's interesting but makes fairly generic deductions based upon your browsing habits. Or maybe it's just my browsing habits are fairly generic.

Free to use network management tool . Can inventory your entire network and generate nice network connectivity graphs etc. Has a multitude of plugins I've not explored yet, but even it's basic free functionality is useful.

I spent months painstakingly transferring my entire CD collection onto my ipod. Then disaster struck, my hosting PC died and I discovered that itunes makes it very hard to transfer non-itunes purchased songs. Now I have them in the cloud and I can access them from anywhere using Google Music.

So happy to see Soda Stream finally make it in the US. Many happy memories of using Soda Stream growing up in Scotland. Now my kids love it too.

Ever wondered about the creative minds behind your favorite website? humans.txt is an initiative allowing people to learn about the people who actually created the site (not necessarily the site owners).

Recent find, but very neat idea. I like to try cooking new snacks for my kids and this website is a great way to find new ideas.

Maybe the best electronic band from the UK. Still make the hairs on the back of my neck stand up when I hear them.

Excellent, expressive interpreted language, perfect for embedding. Has become the de facto game scripting engine.

Neat little calculator on the Bureau of Labor Services site that uses the average Consumer Price Index to calculate the relative dollar buying power between two requested years.
