A great introduction to the fantastic Thursday Next series. A must-read for fans of Jane Eyre and of literacy alike! Witty, and with a female protagonist that is honest and quirky, The Eyre Affair just draws open the curtains to the great show that is Thursday.

Brutal puns, love of language play, allusions to classic, children's, and classic children's literature in an adult world

Personally, he can do no wrong. His writing is always very clever and funny. His work is original and I have yet to read a novel by him that I did not like.

With a background that is universally known, that of a Nazi occupied Germany, The Book Thief still manages to squeeze in such an original, funny, heartbreaking story that is hard to put down.

Watch it to see a girl kick ass and not be too bogged down by the stereotypical thoughts of "love and shoe shopping and omg". Piper Perabo is a gorgeous and lovable spy.

You wouldn't expect a modernisation of any classic detective series would be good, but then Sherlock comes along and does a fantastic job of it. Clever and witty and a compelling watch.

Great visuals, and great story. Everything fits together so well and it's mind blowing that the entire concept was Christopher Nolan's to begin with.

Streaming entire songs by even some of the most obscure bands? Along with some of the radio hits being played today? Spotify is great. Yes, there are occasional ads, but I find that it completely makes up for that with it's playlist features, and huge huge catalog of music.

Something between a an almost-fairtytale and one of Aesop's fables, The Alchemist is a magical story where lessons can be derived, but are never forced on you. It's compelling and mystical. I would recomment this to anyone.
