Quirky, creative art and design ideas. Updated frequently. Nice to peruse on a rainy day.

A stunning example of where the graphic novel succeeds where all other mediums fail. Very touching, thought-provoking, and moving piece of work.

Very attractive contemporary art magazine showcasing both well-known and relatively undiscovered artists. Worth picking up for inspiration, or just for perusal while standing around the magazine rack.

Clever, clever writing. Very interesting and absorbing articles. Smirk-worthy cartoons.
Their themed issues are always worth checking out.
But - it costs a lot to subscribe to them...too bad...

They're fairly affordable. However, when I was there it took them half an hour to make a BLT sandwich as compared to 5 minutes to dish out a bowl of french onion soup.

Yeah the service is slow sometimes. Also, I can never remember where it is located.

Easy to make, and unexpectedly good. The texture could use a bit of work though - maybe less flour?

A little bit reminiscent of Satoshi Kon, but more so of FLCL. Anyway, it's really cool and it has a very nice music track to it. Watch this now.

Their designs are usually minimalistic, innovative, durable, extremely functional, and cheap. Even when their price range reaches a bit high, it's usually worth the buy. I don't know why this is sorted under "restaurants" when the main premise of the store is dealing out furniture, but what the hell.

I have to point out that you rhymed. And also there are some very badly made things from IKEA. Did you know that besides using cheap southeast asian labor, the reason they can have such low prices is because of the packaging? You can thank the US Federal government for that research. ;)
