A Digable Planets vet (Ishmael Butler) and friends explore some pretty crazy sonic landscapes. The results are impressive and completely unique. I started on Swerve but subsequently got obsessed with the whole album.

Possibly the ideal 'vanilla' linux distro. Rolling release, with bleeding edge binaries for everything you need available from its comprehensive package manager. If you know what you're doing (or want to get there like I did), you get the flexibility of Gentoo with the convenience of binary package distribution.

This is well-researched historical fiction which also makes a compelling read. However, I recommend that readers resist the temptation to read the epilogue (part 4 and particularly part 5), as it is not at all up to the standard of the rest of the book; you will come away thinking the book is much better if you steer clear.

Its accessibility is varied, but it's all pretty good and when it's pop, it's SO pop. For some awesome party/cruisin' grooves, check out Love in Motion and Embody.

This underrated webapp does a great job streaming your music from the cloud, to your phone or a web browser. Load times are minimal, I pity those who still plug their phones into their computers to sync music. For my needs, it undercuts Amazon Cloudplayer by charging $4/month for 40GB, but that would probably be another interesting service to check out.

It is a green and broccoli at the same time.
Cons: Like many greens, a little on the bitter side (although it's no okra).

Reads fast and is extremely amusing throughout. "A book about nothing."
Cons: People mostly complain that it's not deep enough or something. For me that's a feature not a bug.

Brown sugar taste puts it head and shoulders above the competition (aka Kellog's frosted mini wheats). High-ish in fiber. Fortified with 11 vitamins and stuff.
Cons: Pretty sugary. Probably none too healthy besides the fiber.

Where to start? Amazing style, Lady Gaga dancing in crutches, murder most foul, plus it's Lady Gaga's best song.
Cons: Kind of long.
