Satire is my favourite sort of comedy. It's gold. And the onion is just seeping with the stuff. You're guaranteed to laugh a little each time you read an article.

A guilty pleasure. Their stunt Pulitzer campaign article was hysterical. "At first, he showed a measure of promise, and was one of the leading lights among Onion copyboys, cheerfully going about his work, always busy, never requesting fresh crusts or more sleeping-hay."

The Onion is great at helping you cope with the real news that is out there and from a broad range of mediums (i.e. print, web, tv)
Cons: Sometimes too predictable.
