This show consistently makes me cry from laughing so hard. I usually get the feeling these characters are not far off from the actors portraying them, which gives it a feeling of reality that most shows can't master.
"Let me play devil's avocado here, Larry. I think people should freak the geek out!"
One of the writers must be from Princeton because we get one or two references to the football team or school colors per episode. My favorite:
Tracy: Orange and black decorations. Is this Halloween or a Princeton parents' weekend? I don't know whether to be scared or proud of my cousin.
Kenneth: It's Halloween, sir.
Tracy: Proud it is.
Quick, smart, hilarious, great replay value, Tracey Jordon is a one-trick horse but I still laugh every time.
Cons: The whole "Isn't life in New York/a TV studio crazy?" vibe gets old. Kenneth is a one-trick horse that I haven't laughed at for 2 seasons.
very funny show. i usually laugh more at the office but this is a fresh alternative which conveniently airs right after
Cons: occasionally lines are a little too Scrubs-like (thats a negative adjective) with folly sound effects, but the scenes move quickly and return to funny soon.
Good balance of wit, cultural references and absurd gags. Tina Fey's self-deprecating humor is a hilarious take on the single, middle-aged New York woman. Laugh out loud funny.
Cons: NBC has a habit of ruining the new shows I enjoy by drowning them in ratings gimmicks. No explanation why Tracey Morgan's character is named Tracey Jordan yet no other actors take names like this.
