An imperfect but lovable adaptation of Tolkein's novel. Opinion about this feature length film is mixed but I contend that it is a good attempt to bring The hobbit to life. Its true to the spirit of the books and a classic in its own right. For Tolkein fans it is worth seeing before Jackson's film comes out this winter.
