This German-made BROAD (1 1/2") x4" long Brazilian rosewood-handled folding knife w/ brass anchor-inlay has a carbon-steel 3" straight-edged blade. The STYLE of knife historically was used for cutting ROPE on ships by hammering-upon with lignum-vitae (Lat. for "Iron-Wood")-belaying-pins used to slow rope play-out; eg the climber's "BELAY". Apparent quality: fit & finish low; mfr. ?-novelty knife.
