In a span of 2 decades he went from a neolithic hunter gatherer to become the ruler of most of the world. No other human has evolved so far in such a short period of time. Much less of a barbarian and much more of an innovator and a genius, Genghis Khan actually spread more civilization and technology then riot and ruin. Probably the best book on the subject.
