Batman: Arkham City (PS3)

When I first started playing Arkham City, I hated it. It broke the mold of the previous game, it made me jump and glide around the city, but then an hour in, I couldn't get enough.
What I thought was shoddy controls became an extension of the Dark Knight and I continued on zipping, swooping, solving riddles and giving a beatdown to my heart's content.

Compared to the original Batman, this game is all kinds of better. Everyone doesn't have the same body type as Batman either, so Commissioner Gordon isn't on steroids anymore. I mean, that reason alone is good enough for me.

Seriously though, if you're a Batman fan this game brings everything to the table. A nice selection of villains to beat up and a fun little open world game.

Arkham Asylum was one of the most impressive and memorable titles I've ever played.

Very rarely does a video game sequel surpass the original, but Arkham City is absolute video game perfection.

Get it from Best Buy to unlock Robin!
