Stumbleupon is one of the best sites ever. I felt like the Chris Columbus of the Internet (amongst my social circles anyway). It's an endless process of linking and discovering, which never gets boring.
In fact, I never knew there was so much stuff out there until this.
It's idiot-proof and easy on the eyes too. Not to mention a better use of time than Facebook and Twitter.

Stumbleupon is the greatest. Period. You enter your interests at the beginning, then whenever you click the "stumble" button, Stumbleupon will take you to a website that matches one of your interests. If you like the website, you can click the thumbs up and save the website in your favorites, and if you don't like it then you can click the thumbs down and Stumbleupon will learn your preferences

The idea is good, but its stumbles have not been particularly relevant or interesting. Hopefully, with time, this will prove be a great way to find new and engaging content.

lynneelala recommended this 1 year, 11 months ago
Fascinating and fun. You tell it what to look for, or not, and it finds you all sorts of really interesting sites that you would not necessarily find on your own. It's a new kind of 'rabbit trail.' You don't know where you'll end up!

The *BEST* time-wasting experience the web has to offer. Highly recommended. Make sure not to hit the stumble button unless you have some free time.

It's how I found Hunch; SU is the wost addicting way to surf the web.
patantdoh recommended this 2 years ago
Maybe I've come late to this, but I've become addicted very quickly. Create a profile of your interests and stumble upon the best of the web relating to these subjects.
Find the useful, the fascinating and the sublime. It's a double-edged sword. Don't start stumbling if you want to get any work done.

Possibly the best time passer around; Stumble Upon shows you the best of what the web has to offer according to your interests. Kind of like Hunch for websites, StumbleUpon asks you what your interests are, and shows you sites that likeminded people have favourited. Works great with Firefox!
kolivas recommended this 2 years, 2 months ago

Great way to discover lots of interesting things on the web.
Cons: Might not be terribly social until you have some followers and start following other people. Until then, it's kind of just you.
