Pretty spectacular stuff -- and a testament to one man's command over his own patience! Just don't destroy good books for the sake of art -- PLEASE tell me these are all worn or damaged rejects and you simply breathed a second life into them! Beautiful work!

Captivating sculptures/collages by Brian Dettmer using books, maps, record albums and cassette tapes. They look like art from a long gone and superior civilization.

Fascinating. Stimulating. I was really drawn into his work. Many of them struck a chord. Some pieces tap into our deep archetypes and others reflect the intricacies of modern life.
