In 1986 this was the world’s largest swimming pool—located by the ocean in SF and privately owned by Adolph Sutro. Now it’s ruins and part of the Golden Gate National Recreation Area. It’s fun to walk around and explore the ruins, the cave nearby, and the beach—with lots of good spots to take photos. Good for a quick little visit if you’re in the area, but definitely not a whole-day activity.

We stayed near here when I was in SF in march. Really nice area to be outside and the old photos we found online of what the place used to be were incredible.

Yeah, it must have been really awesome in its prime.
