This is a great reference to keep handy when you or someone you know is being fed quacky info about homeopathic remedies.

It's good for people to question information and also learn about what science says about supplements.

I'm a big believer in evidence-based behaviour, so often ignored in the alternative-healthcare arena, and this looks like an excellent resource. I haven't examined all the studies so I can't vouch for their quality, but I like that the evidence is being considered!

Clearly shows that supplements are limited in scope, some only noted for certain health concerns and marginally so; nothing in itself is a panacea.

Great infographic to visualize the relative evidence for various nutritional supplements.

This has got to be the best way to look at data since Excel.

Cool tool to help take the quackery out of quack medicine! The rest of the site is pretty nifty too. We live in a data-intensive world and need better tools and techniques to get the msessage across.
P.S. Look up Hans Rosling if you're interested in a pioneering data visualizer.

Excellent infographic on various supplements

Great display, but beware the interpretative review of the evidence that sits behind it. If in doubt, get a PhD, go to the source and read the journals...

I find it interesting that I've stopped using much of what's below the "Worth It Line" on my own over the last year, and have started some of those above it on recommendation from friends, health care folks, or from my own reading. Well done, as usual, @infobeautiful !

Information is Beautiful is a great site for infographics and visual miscellany. Here is one of my favorite data visualizations, an interactive chart of health supplements and the evidence supporting their effectiveness. The higher the balloon floats, the better the available evidence and the larger the balloon, the more popular it is on Google.
There's also a "worth it line" for glance-ability.
