Great public transportation (the Max), live music mecca, open minded welcoming people, tons of great food. Within a 2 hour drive you can ski or surf. Easy to find parking (smart park!) Powell's book store! Voodoo donuts! Waterfront Park! Puddle jumping! (there is NO such thing as too much rain!)

beautiful city with eclectic inhabitants, mecca for bicycle lovers.
Cons: way too much rain, high unemployment.

Yeah Portland!!!! I'm 30-45 minutes away :D I love the rain and cold - Gets hot/dryish in the summer, but for the most part its on the cooler side.
Cons: Can get kinda smoggy in the summer, but it's not too bad.

If you enjoy riding a bike, you'd love it here. It's a very bike friendly city.
