I fell in love with this cityquite a while ago, it's just so beautiful in so many ways. If you're a foodie like me you'll love it! There are so many cafes and restaurants plus they're all such culturally diveresed things to try! Gosh, I'm getting so hungry.. drool*

The variety and diversity can't be beat, and you'll find anything you can imagine in Manhattan as far as Art, Entertainment, and Cuisine goes. Has a very 'fast-paced' feel to it.
Cons: Pace is too fast for many people, you see a lot of stressed people on the streets and subways. Tends to be expensive for many visitors.

The best food, best museums, great culture, and surprisingly easy to walk around (flat, plenty of green space).
Cons: Few affordable places to stay. Hot and unpleasant in the summer. Easy to feel intimidated and lost without a hookup from a friend/loved one who lives there.

Fashion, Broadway, art, shopping, lights. Lots of must-see sites for first time visitors.
Cons: Expensive and small accommodations.

There is never a lack of things to do and cars are optional/unnecessary. Each neighborhood has something awesome to contribute to the culture.
Cons: Expensive housing for tiny apartments! Even the fancy Manhattan apartments aren't pretty... Basically if you believe in single family housing, don't live in nyc!

Cons: Sensory overload is possible. Brusqueness sometimes mistaken for rudeness.

It's a beautiful city in almost every aspect. It's really multicultured, it's got very well defined seasons, great high-end stores, amazing clubs & restaurants. I just love it.
Cons: I can't really think of many, but I guess it could be crowded and that if you're more of a town person, then you wouldn't really like the big city lifestyle.

Great for visiting! It has everything: historical sites; plenty of entertainment (plays, nightlife, museums, etc); some of the world's best restaurants! Easy to get around without a car!

The very reason for my love of cities. Culturally diverse and a great spot for businesses. Cold winters are better than extremely humid summers.
Cons: Too far away, too expensive, and too many rude people who have forgotten the meaning of patience.

Cons: city of right angles and very wrong people. exorbitantly expensive - prohibits you from doing many of those things you moved here to do.

No car needed. Growing up here is fun. Any type of food you want. Places to shop. Shows to see.....etc.
Cons: Crowded. Can get noisy. Expensive housing. Traffic (sometimes ridiculous traffic).
