A great editor though it does have a steep learning curve. Available on almost every machine I use.

My choice of editor because of its tremendous power, portability (it's installed on every *NIX system), extensibility, good ergonomics, and speed. It's got a steep learning curve, but the time spent learning its commands pays off by allowing users to manipulate code painlessly.

Powerful editor. Everything in vi + auto-completion, syntax highlighting and tons of other useful tools.
Cons: A good tutorial and a few hours of "practice" are required to learn how to use it.
