I've watched this everyday for the past 2 years, it keeps me up to date with the latest news and makes me laugh at the same time. Some of the interviews are somewhat boring and long winded though.

everybody love Jon, although sometimes he overreacts

You really do get the news and laugh your way to good health too. I love this show! It is good for the mind, body and soul. Cutting edge humor and right on top of the latest political antics and hypocracies. My kind of sarcasim and I always love Jon's interviews...both insightful and funny!

Spectacular. Always funny, often smart- John Stewart finds comedy in making sense.

you simply have to watch this show - the guests aren't always the best, but it will expose you to a lot of people you might not run across through other channels.

One of only two reasons I can find to justify a cable subscription.
thurscon recommended this 1 year, 10 months ago
Intelligently witty, Jon Stewart puts on an enjoyable, entertaining, and sometimes brutally honest comedic satire.
Blogger Douglas Moran even suggests that Americans trust Stewart more than many other TV News Show segments!

Most Trusted man in News Satire.
kristianramirez commented 2 years ago
Sad but true. Because even though he's obviously Liberal, he also picks on the liberals when they're being stupid. he's actually fair and balanced.
allenpk commented 1 year, 12 months ago
Some say Colbert is funnier, but Stewart is preforming a public service.

Jon Stewart is consistently on and amazingly funny. Rarely is this not the best show on television.
stardust_rain recommended this 2 years, 3 months ago
Razor sharp wit, well backed-up, well researched arguments. Jon is great at using humour and mockery to get his point across and simultaneously ridicule any epic mess-ups in politics/news
Cons: It's a sad state of events when the most trusted news source in the US comedy show.
ab1874 recommended this 2 years, 5 months ago
Love how they take real news stories and expose the idiocy of some arguments.
Cons: Sometimes they try too hard and it's not funny.
adamilardi recommended this 2 years, 6 months ago
This show is hilarious. It's also a very good source of news. He takes very serious political issues and makes them funny.
Cons: No show on Fridays
kmabarrett recommended this 2 years, 7 months ago
Extremely funny
Frequently more accurate than "real" news (particularly FoxNews)
Cons: Rarely provides sources of "real" information a viewer can use to form a non-comedic opinion.
ChrisWilliams recommended this 2 years, 7 months ago
Using comedy they point out the absurdities in politics; poking at all sides in their acts. They're often treated as the 'least biased' news source, though they're comedians commenting on news media.
Cons: The show has developed some bias over time as they have become more influential and confident. Other news programs mock their tactics and reporting, and ironically treat them as a rival news ...
ziptron recommended this 2 years, 7 months ago
Sly and often devastating take on current events and the nose. He has a tremendous BS detector.
Cons: A bit full of himself at times.
idgetman05 recommended this 2 years, 7 months ago
Jon Stewart is probably one of the best new anchors out there. and probably one of the least bias
Cons: Some jokes i don't get
halobear11 recommended this 2 years, 8 months ago
Intelligent and sardonic in their views on what is actually going on in the world. Oddly enough, they are correct and easy to agree with most of the time, even if it is not meant to be a news show.
Cons: Some pieces do fall drier than others, although, that can be up to interpretation.

Cons: The only way I can watch any news!
eugene-marques recommended this 2 years, 8 months ago
The most unbiased, commonsensicaly funny, satire based news show around.
Cons: I tend to gather all my news and opinions from this show.
mameiac recommended this 2 years, 8 months ago
Along with The Colbert Report this show is mandatory viewing for my wife and I every night (well, DVRed from the night before). Funny and more insightful than anything else out there.
Cons: They truly go after anyone worth mocking so no matter who you like you could find yourself getting thin-skinned at times.
bethanyer recommended this 2 years, 9 months ago
Witty, timely, and honest. TDS has been the launching pad for several great careers, and the writing can only get better.
Cons: Jon Stewart shaved his beard :(
mkrumbein recommended this 2 years, 9 months ago
Jon Stewart is the most trusted man in news.
Cons: A comedian on a fake news program being the most trusted man in news is a depressing thought.
spihan recommended this 2 years, 9 months ago
Without a doubt, the best journalism on TV nowadays, in that it says things that no journalist either can, or has the balls to say. Look for it at 7 on US's east coast.
Cons: A little too short. It will appear more to those who watch the news...
stephanpire recommended this 2 years, 9 months ago
Epic
Jon is the anchor I would thrive to be
Cons: Missing the old days with Steve Carell
Where the heck is the 'Best of DVD'
_eug recommended this 2 years, 9 months ago
Best fake news on television. The real news can be too depressing sometimes. Stewart and his ace contributors are entertaining.
Cons: Some of the shows contributors are annoying and unfunny. I stopped watching for all of election season due to them.
jimelyot recommended this 2 years, 9 months ago
Jon Stewart and his crew make a half hour go by so fast that you don't even realize that you learned something!
Cons: On too late at night and Canada's version of Comedy Now is awful for streaming.
victo1511 recommended this 2 years, 11 months ago
The funniest 20 minutes of American television per day for a German.
Cons: It's just 20 minutes.
