I saw it on the big screen when I was 13 and never looked back. Sacrilegious as it may seem, I have since seen the stage play and did not enjoy it nearly as much. This movie changed my life.

Oh my gosh! this is the best movie ever! I cry I laugh and hmmm maybe the 7 time i watched it i sang along with the songs.! It is that good!

Beautiful. Colourful, dramatic and closely based on the stage production. Only a few tiny lyrics are changed. It's one of my favourite muscials ever.
Cons: Gerard Butler makes a great phantom, however his singing is mediocre when compared with, say, Michael Crawford.
