A visual beauty, perhaps among the most beautiful films I've seen. The Asian mindset for storytelling is something quite different from "Western" films: you have to read between the lines and pay attention to what remains unsaid. Yes, the film is poetic indeed. Not just a love movie as the title might depict, no-no, something much more.

it is one of my favorite movies. since the first time. i'm totally in the mood for love the scenes, lights, shapes and camera.

Not quite as good as Chun King Express (Hope I spelled that right). But he certainly puts you in a "mood." He has a definitive style that is luring to watch. The movie is unpredictable and very pleasing to watch. It has a slow, steady, enchanting rhythm to it.

Masterfully executed Honk Kong noir by Wong Kar-wai. Certainly one of my favorite films.

Really dark and cool and sexy and enthralling. The cinematography and music are both absolutely perfect.

Cinematography by Christopher Doyle, who also did Hero and Rabbit Proof Fence.
