Interesting...do you think it might affect the way colors look to me? Mess up the calibration?

Working on your laptop at night can hurt your eyes and affect your sleep. F.lux is a nifty app that auto adjusts the color temperature of your Macbook screen to an orangey hue at night to save your eyes.

F.lux is a small program that automatically drops the kelvin of your computer screen at night, removing the blue color that can cause headaches and eye strain. i use this on my ipod and laptop to avoid some of the stimulation from LCD screens close to going to sleep.

F.lux keeps circadian rhythms from getting too messed up by blue light from the computer screen in the evening. Works automatically in the background customized to the exact sunrise and sunset for each day, so it is effortless to use.

Everyone who uses their computer late at night should use this. It prevents the bright light of the screen from fooling you into thinking its daylight out - allowing you to fall asleep much better.

Everyone should use this. When you use a computer, you are fundamentally staring directly into a bright light. F.lux helps mitigate this problem by dimming your screen with a yellowish tinge at night, keeping your eyes and circadian rhythms sane.

This free program makes late-night web browsing liveable. It makes your monitor adapt to the lighting throughout your day.
It's easy to set up and super calming. It works on Mac, Windows and Linux platforms. Try it!

I love this. Looking at a screen without it at night now freaks me out a little bit.

Flux is awesome, it makes using my laptop at night much more eye friendly. Recommended setting—have the transition take 1 hour instead of 20 seconds.

Turns the color profile of your screen sepia in the evening – great for late night hacking.
