saw the movie and enjoyed it very much so I was curious to read the book. I agree with mayairvine that it was both funny and heartbreaking at times.

Marjane Satrapi is an amazing illustrator, author, and speaker. This is one of the few comic books that has been elevated to a position of literary and historical importance, and with good reason. It is both funny and heartbreaking at times and gives a detailed insight into a specific time in iranian history.
