Joel Hodgson has been an inspiration to me since I discovered his show, Mystery Science Theater 3000, at age ten. I've since gotten an art degree, failed to take up magic as a hobby, learned Japanese and lived in Japan for a year, and started to write jokes of my own. All inspired by liking his creation. God knows if I'll ever amount to anything, but I'm more interesting for knowing who he is.
