This makes excellent sweet espresso with the provided filters. Buying an after-market stainless steel filter and using coarser grounds/longer steep time creates incredible french press coffee.

so i have a giant bag of grounds from Costco that lives in my fridge. But the Aeropress actually makes decent coffee out of them! If that isn't an endorsement i don't know what is.

I'm no coffee connoisseur but thought this was a cool little coffee and espresso press. Portable and really great for camping.

Lo Tech way to make a high quality cup of coffee. It's also useful for other endeavors such as force straining bitters or essences. 5 stars.

Got mine as a present from some of my MIT friends. They were right - it makes a damned fine cup of coffee. Note: those crazy baristas have started using it to brew upside down. Looks super cool when they do it, but so far I've only succeeded in shooting hot coffee grounds all over my kitchen with shocking imprecision. Keep it simple, at least until after you've had your first cup.
