This is a great site for finding out whether various things floating around the internet are true...or even if they are attributed to the right person. One of the first places I check when I hear something that sounds just a little bit fishy...

i love how this is one of the best websites on the internet but you don't really appreciate it until you want to know if a failure to forward an email will really result in a girl coming to your house to kill you in 36 hours

The good people at snopes have been quietly trucking away for years. Preforming a vital service, if only they were more well known, the internet would be a more accurate place.

Interesting. The site also has a randomizer function so you can easily relieve some boredom.
Cons: The interface and design is hideous. They could use an update.
