Finally a comic book where the female characters aren't just there to be saved or used as "bait". Vaughn creates well rounded characters then sticks to the rules he sets up. And best of all, Yorrick (the Protagonist) isn't a swinging dick with all the answers. He's just trying to do the best he can with what he's got.
Unpredictable and thrilling! Brian K. Vaughn's exploration of Yorrick's psyche is absolutely marvelous. While Vaughn's social commentary of gender inequality is extremely inventive in its own right, he manages to make the story even more accessible to audiences by having some truly hysterical dialogue between Yorrick and his female accomplices.
Loved this series. A cool concept mixed with a lot of humor to disrupt the serious stuff. You never know what turn the story is going to take which is a pleasant surprise. Cons: A guy's worst nightmare! Kidding. Anyway, the ending was just weird. I'm still not even sure how I feel about it.
