I am not usually a big fan of fantasy but I really like this book. It does a great job of combining modern america with classic mythology.

Real life fantasy. Read this years ago and wisps of fantastic, realistic pieces occasionally come back to me. Just added it to my re-read list.

One of my favorite books. Gaiman is a master of weaving ancient mythology into modern storylines, making for a fascinating read.

I was a big fan of sandman and decided to take a shot at Gaiman's non-graphic novels. I was not disappointed.

This is probably my favorite novel but I must caution you: There are tags that say this book is PG and that it's a young adult (middle school) book. It most definitely is NOT. There is plenty of sex and violence in this story. There are also old gods you've never heard of, new gods you didn't know you worshipped, and a fantastic adventure for smart adults.
