Some of the most unique filmmakers to come along in a while. Plus, they aren't just one-trick ponies. Who would've thought that the creators of "The Big Lebowski" and "The Hudsucker Proxy" made "No Country For Old Men" or "Fargo"?

I haven't seen one Coen Brother's movie I didn't like. Diverse, but their style shines through every movie. Favourites: The Hudsucker Proxy, True Grit, O Brother Where Art Thou.

Prolific, diverse, a stellar eye for casting and an effortless dancers virtuousity with the camera. They love Americana almost as much as I.
Cons: Pacing is not their strong suit. "Man who wasn't there" is 20 minutes too long, "Burn After Reading" 20 minutes too short. Could stand to trust someone else's judgement rather than each other's.

The Coen Brothers' films stand up well to the litmus tests of time and multiple viewings.
Cons: Despite the great diversity of films they've made, they're tagged by some as belonging only to the offbeat, film-maker category, along with Burton and Gilliam.

Brilliantly distinctive yet diverse film-makers. Blood Simple, Fargo, The Big Lebowski, O Brother Where Art Thou?, The Hudsucker Proxy, No Country For Old Men, A Serious Man - their highlights.
Cons: Nor so popular: Intolerable Cruelty, Burn After Reading (though I quite liked it).

Everybody dies in the end. Well, almost, but having main characters killed just like everyone else is just FANTASTIC.
Cons: Pretty unusual storytelling tools.

Craftsmanship in directing
One brilliant actor set
Blood Simple, Fargo, No Country for Old Men are the best ones
Coen's films can not be mixed, very authentic.

Cons: The Ladykillers is a backlash obviously but otherwise eveything is great.
