This memoir of a large family is pure joy from start to finish. It's hilariously funny and sweet without being cloying or manipulative. It's impossible to read without being made happy by it.

This Jean-Pierre Jeunet film (same filmmaker as Amelie) is so ingenious and clever and funny. Every frame is a visual treat. Its humor and style is a perfect meld of Amelie and Delicatessen.
