This is an excellent 1st person shooter! Very well constructed, great story, and the characters you interact with make it a blast and a half! Favorite line: "this planet smells like a hemorrhoid wrapped in bacon."

James Avery jewelry is beautiful and unique. It is characterized by very clean lines, subtle form and excellent craftsmanship. His main workshop is in Texas where he began a few decades ago, working primarily in silver. I would rarely recommend jewelry, however, Avery's work is exceptional. It is moderately priced. Very highly recommended.

Classic film with Steve McQueen and Dustin Hoffman of life and survival on Devil's Island, the notorious French penal colony. I suggest you see it again if its been a long time, or see it for the first time. This is how movies should be made.

Besides being the true story of General George S. Patton during WWII, it is a tour de force of acting for George C. Scott.
You've never met a person like Patton. You come away in awe and inspired. However, as with many geniuses, his flaws are very manifest, bordering on insanity.
Hinted in the movie, it would have been a very different world if he had been a general in the Third Reich. I agree.

I had a friend who was a Marine during the Vietnam era. I asked what it was like. He said, "Watch "Full Metal Jacket", that's exactly what it was like."

One of the very best WWII movies ever done. I grew up watching all the great war movies of the 50's and 60's. This pulls in the best aspects of those epics and delivers. The courage and true heroism make the story.
You are there, in your squad, thinking through the next move with Captain Miller.

"What we've got here is a failure to communicate"
Classic Paul Newman chain gang movie about the lovable anti-hero who refuses to conform. George Kennedy gives a memorable performance as "Dragline", and the car wash scene has to be one of the sexiest clips in the history of the world.

One of my very favorite movies. Such an intelligent person's movie, with a great storyline and intriguing mystery to solve. I found myself along for the ride from start to finish, taking all the mental twists and turns until the final destination of the answer left me shocked. Definitely one you'll want to watch more than once.

I knew of Moore's Law and Metcalfe's Law, but most of these were new to me. Interesting set of laws from across the world of tech and computing.

The book series is much better than the movie versions. Each book can stand on its own, though there are connections between them. C.S. Lewis is a brilliant writer of fantasy. He gets you into his worlds without the extreme tedium found in other's fantasy works. He said he wrote it for children...I just don't think so. Children will certainly enjoy it, adults even more so. Very highly recommended.

sweet baby jesus, this man makes an incredibly good salsa. it's not available everywhere - and that's a very good thing. it spoils quickly, but that won't be a problem because you'll probably eat it all in one sitting. beware the habanaro salsa, it's crazy good but quite spicy - especially on the exit.

Yes, it is the same Ikea that sells furniture. At the Ikea near me, they have a treasure trove of Swedish food and it is very very good! My favs are the frozen Swedish pancakes and the frozen Swedish meatballs(yep, frozen, but you'd swear they were homemade). The meatballs are as good as my grandma used to make and that says a lot. She was a Swede and great cook.

The original was always the best. Sigourny Weaver in anything generally makes it a favorite of mine.
