I did not understand the appeal of Richler when I read him in school, later as an adult it made more sense. Now in my 40s reading him reaches so much deeper. I'm expecting even more as I age and reread.

Raw, stripped down, concise writing. He is unlike any other, no wasted words, no wasted anything.

Classic, so much to learn from this book. Heller understands human nature like so few, and then wraps it all up in entertaining humour, perfect.

Cutting, hilarious, truthful. What else do you need from a humorist. Sedaris has it all.

Consistently funny, one of very few illustrator who can keep it funny over such a long period of time. Larson is an amazing wit.

This man changed the way and the why I listen to music, nothing like him. Try it twice incase you don't get it the first time.

By far my favorite Christmas tale, I love an ending of redemption.

I could drink it all night if someone lightly twisted my arm. Easy, sometimes complex. An excellent Chianti is like drinking velvet. Smooth smooth smooth.

Love the red zin, you have had half the bottle without ever noticing. Light, enjoyable grape.

One of those books that make you wonder why you don't read more.

Inspiring as a youth, seems simplistic and shallow as an adult. Perhaps i'm just jaded now.

Hook line and sinker, he got me full on and I did not let go until it was all over. Like a drug I had to get another right away.

If you have never read Tom Robbins start now, you will not be able to anticipate his style before starting the book. He is unique and will surprise.

Neal Stephenson is a great writer, this series will suck you in fast. One warning, it is a bit too long and can get bogged down in spots yet you are still compelled to keep reading. Very rewarding read.
