Seconded: completely breathtaking.
This is up there with the single-line Vermeer drawing (hunch.com/item/hn_3907604/single-line-drawing-faber-caste...) in terms of dedication and a breathtakingly accurate end product.
The first time I had this, I was in Bath, England eating common English dishes, except for this. Pret was/is exceptionally delicious! Their wraps have an odd combination of foods, but yet somehow everything complements each other, bringing your taste-buds into wanting more! I just wish Canada could get this food chain, instead of Tim Horrors.
I really dig Julian Koster (of Neutral Milk and Music Tapes fame) trying something crazy and out there with his Christmas album. He does a bunch of classics on the sometimes-abrasive singing saw, which makes the songs sound haunting and sad rather than upbeat and cheery. Even so, it's still worth at least a listen to the 30-second samples on Merge's site, just to see if it's your thing.
