I said it before and I'll say it again: You don't know what you're missing! And the story behind the museumm is even more amazing! I am in awe of and forever grateful to the Hawley family and those who helped them resurrect this pristine piece of history from the middle of a cornfield. Do yourselves a favor and make it your next weekend getaway. They've got a great website too.

You won't believe their jukebox -- OR their burgers! Regarding the former, it's one of the largest song selections in existence. (Don't know the statistics, but the choices are nearly limitless!) And then there's their rock memorabilia displays. This was the Hardrock BEFORE the Hardrock was even dreamt of! The food too is worth the visit.

In the shadow of, but not overshadowed by, the St. Louis Arch. A beautiful piece of history and worth a peek inside. Gorgeous rotunda. Take the time to browse through the museum. A lot happened here. Best known for the famous Dred Scott decision.

50s and 60s furniture, decor - even clothes. Such a fun place to browse -- and if you're into retro, to buy. And now they've moved:
6514 Chippewa in St. Louis Hills -- Just east of Ted Drewes (another St. Louis landmark)! You could spend half a day just exploring their website! www.tfa50s.com

It's not rocket science, but it's one of those movies you watch and re-watch. Fun to watch the transformation of Goldie Hawn's character.

Pretty spectacular stuff -- and a testament to one man's command over his own patience! Just don't destroy good books for the sake of art -- PLEASE tell me these are all worn or damaged rejects and you simply breathed a second life into them! Beautiful work!

OK - the artwork is very original - I love the look. But that's a lot of books taken out of circulation, and that concerns me somewhat.

A rise-above-your-roots kind of story - a surprisingly positive portrayal of a horribly dysfunctional childhood. Frank McCourt had a lot to share and we're the better for his sharing it. He'll be missed.
