From the mean streets of Buenos Aires (actually more like the nocturnal DJ booths), it's a mix for dancing that was recorded live.

Here's the deal: these five people are the best. They are Cindy Sherman-approved. They are all that's standing in the way of the total gentrification of nightlife. Take the $20 you were going to spend on a bacon-infused cocktail (or $60 if you were having three) and give it to them instead, just this once.

Well-played, Donovan Strain.

Because my love for Stevie Nicks runs deep and true, a remix of Fleetwood Mac's most chipper ode to infidelity.

@gleitz dragged me to Nublu on a Monday night once and my life was forever changed, because Hess is More was playing. I'm pretty sure everyone there teared up when they heard this song, which was NOT YET RELEASED but which is now. You're going to fall in love with them, just so you know.

If John Waters says it's his favorite movie of the year (in ArtForum, no less), then you damn well better see it, huh?

For those in the southern hemisphere (and others who wish they were) some music for beaches, pool parties, and sweating past midnight.

Argentine theatre you can really get behind, especially if you're wearing a pair of Wayfarers while reading this.

Remember the Feminist Ryan Gosling Tumblr? Well this is like that.

In case you're in South America and have a thing for pool parties and good music, this is where you should be on Saturday the 17th. If you're currently hating cold weather, you have three more chances to come down and recreate poolside at the Oasis Clubhouse, since this will be monthly.

Next time you're headed out somewhere where you could possibly die, grab this can of acetaminophen, bandages, antibiotic ointment, matches, tea, wire clip, fishing line with a hook, razor blade, and signal mirror (among other things).

DJ Nim aka Guille is a great guy, an amazing printer, and oh yeah, 1/3rd of the trio behind ZZK. If you're in Europe right now, check him out opening for Super Guachin. This is a mixtape he made. It's perfect for your southern hemisphere summer.

Please help actual art and legit fun continue to flourish in New York. This is one of those rare problems that can actually be solved by throwing money at it, so tear off a piece and throw it through the window for the sake of FUN.
Also, if had an extra $300, I would SO donate just to buy the private party puppy dog art performance by Laura McMillian.

Sparks really has done it all: provided important sonic elements for the classic class war rom-com Valley Girl, made a flawless Italo disco record with Giorgio Moroder, and boldly sported slightly-less-than-prudent facial hair. For your listening and viewing pleasure (and delight), here are some of the finer moments in Sparks history.

Man, this film really has you rooting for Ray. Informative documentary worth watching for anyone remotely creative. Could have benefitted from better editing, but instead, there's narration by James Franco. Depending on who you are, that may be a worthwhile trade-off.

Definitely worth a read (all the way into the comments).
