Geocaching is something that can be done almost anywhere. You can be creative in creating your own caches too!
Cons: You have to buy or borrow a GPS unit to participate in geocaching.

Allows great navigation to profiles and links included in tweets, lets you search for hashtags and people too.
Cons: Doesn't support a way to add tweeted links to social bookmarking sites like delicious or diigo yet.
