Had to buy in bulk to keep up with 'permanent lending' copies.
Cons: See 'Pro'. Also, ornamental language slows down the story, which may put off plot-driven readers.

Protégé and one-time heir apparent to Hans Zimmer, with similar bombastic, drum-heavy style.

One word: Conan. Saddled awhile on lesser 80s genre films (e.g. "Iron Eagle") but returned in prime form for "Hunt for Red October."

Featuring one of the coolest books-inside-a-book ever, and enough geek in-jokes to rival Monty Python.
Cons: The series tapers off in quality, an effect of Adams's need to turn out sequels to pay the bills.

Once you get into it, the plot reveals itself to be sublimely humorous. A fantastic insight into the world of self-important vanity publishing and occult studies.
Cons: The first 100 pages may take a few tries to get momentum.

Love it or hate it, you sure can't knock Frank for thinking small or simple. Don't let the David Lynch film dissuade you from exploring the many layers at work (wheels within wheels a constant theme).
Cons: The bastardizations by Kevin Anderson at son Brian's direction are a tawdry harlequinade by comparison.

The masterpiece of poetic justice, as rewarding for its immaculate inner symmetry (subplots unfolding like an immense series of nested parentheses) as for the inexorable progression of revenge.
Cons: Best unabridged, so not a quick read.

Excellent example of Botta's "one hand principle" and intuitive design.
Cons: A bit dearly priced for a single-function watch. Only accurate to within about 5 minutes due to scale.

Go to an Apple Store and see for yourself. They're almost obscenely large, bright, and overall stunning.
Cons: Requires dual-link DVI.
No other inputs. Firewire hub is of limited use.
Seriously, you can get vertigo if the screen tilts.

High quality screen, great color range, wide range of supported inputs, lots of stand adjustments (height, tilt, pivot).
Cons: Uses the pricier VA type of LCD panel, so sadly much more expensive than entry-level 24" screens which often use the limited TN type.

An engrossing portraiture of an artist struggling against their own talent to fit into the changing tastes of the art world.
Cons: More straightforward than usual for Vonnegut, if you prefer his more experimental or meta-referential style.
