Really interesting discussion between Jon Stewart and Fox News interviewer on the biases in mainstream news media.

They can't even cut it to make Jon look bad! I wish more people were as cunning as Jon Stewart is.

Jon is not only funny, but very smart. I watch his show every morning before I go to work. A perfect start to a work day :)

I dunno, seems like a cool service but it just launched, so we'll see. I love non-fiction but they need to fix the color scheme, the yellow is killing me!

Maine's most refined brewery is riding the Belgian beer train, and doing it in style! They craft some great recipes (very often one-offs are available only at the brewery in Portland) in styles that are accessible. They also seem to be growing at a nice pace, so look for them in expanding markets soon!

Whatever ingredients and method you use to whip up a grilled cheese, be sure and add this final-touch to the sandwich!

Fresh and inspiring. Those are the first words that come to mind when I think of this band. Their sound is rooted in a traditional sound, just not one that you would expect to hear from a band outta Boston, MA.

Their personalities will warm your heart also, as they are just the sweetest people.

Check out Suze play that donkey-jawbone!

Mike is my favorite New England painter. Originally from West Virginia before graduating from the Cleveland Institute of Art and then hiking the Appalachian Trail, Mike landed in Portland.

He has since completed a residency at Acadia National Park and soon you can catch him at the University of Delaware completing his M.F.A.

The most informative, useful and level-headed place on the internet.
Every time I turn to contribute, someone has beaten me to the punch, or said it better than I ever could.

I go there everyday I turn my computer on.

You can get lost in a really good thread and read for like an hour without realizing it.

The definitive article on the Maine Lobster Festival.

My favorite line, "Actually, it might extend all the way up to Bucksport, but we were never able to get farther north than Belfast on Route 1, whose summer traffic is, as you can imagine, unimaginable..."

Local ingredients.
Great atmosphere.
Nice, informed staff.

This is really one of my favorite spots to eat in Portland. Portions aren't huge, but they are flavorful. They make a great gnocchi.

This is the book that chnaged MY life.

Written by the one man who I can hear as plainly as if he were sitting there, even though he died before I was born.

Another band that is just pure fun. As we move faster and faster into the future, it is nice to have artists, like Pokey, to keep us grounded. And smiling when we're drunk.

Certainly a masterpiece, to me. This is the point in Wilco's history where Jeff Tweedy begins to surround himself with the right people and come into his own as a songwriter.
