Visually spectacular, intensely action-packed and powerfully prophetic since its debut, Blade Runner returns in Ridley Scott's definitive Final Cut, including extended scenes and never-before-seen special effects. In a signature role as 21st-century detective Rick Deckard, Harrison Ford brings his masculine-yet-vulnerable presence to this stylish noir thriller. In a future of high-tech possibility soured by urban and social decay, Deckard hunts for fugitive, murderous replicants - and is drawn to a mystery woman whose secrets may undermine his soul.

Apr 5, 2009Visually breathtaking. Sharply-written characters. Raises fascinating philosophical questions about the nature of self.
The original had a horrible voice-over; find the Director's Cut.

Excellent performance by Rutger Hauer. Dark and gritty future as portrayed visually does a good job evoking P.K. Dick's internally focused writing.
Another movie with Harrison Ford making his funny pain faces.

Kicked off cyberpunk. The future doesn't mean white rooms and silver jumpsuits. Can't walk thru an Asian city and not go "the Blade Runner future is now".
The director's cut was a worthless addition. The VO was fine.
