Sci-fi is a very broad genre of movies, and this topic will help both seasoned science fiction aficionados and those just dipping their toes in find a great flick to watch. Sci-Fi isn't limited to just films about aliens, UFOs, outer space, the future or robotic apocalypse. Any film featuring an alternative reality that is limited by scientific plausibility can be considered sci-fi, whereas fantasy is considered alternative realities that are not bound by any potential scientific plausibility.
