Buddhism
Buddhism is a family of beliefs and practices found throughout the world. While it is usually considered a religion, some scholars have defined religion in ways that exclude it. Five precepts are a solid moral system, and the practice of meditation an excellent practice.
Can veer into the nihilistic with too much ego-dissolution.

Nontheistic (no belief in a God figure)
Experiential rather then faith based
Provides a structure & practice for sane livingSome branches of Buddhism encourage beliefs that border on faith and hierarchy, rather then lived experience.

A beautiful system of wisdom which may make some people happy and at peace with the world. May lead to truth when practiced under a master.
Buddhism is cool, but often people trick themselves into believing that it not a belief system with metaphysical requirements to even make sense. May lead to idiocy when practiced by hipsters.

Buddhism teaches the way to becoming a completely self-actualized person who can live in total harmony with society, one's self, the earth, the universe, and with DEATH.
There are no cons to enlightenment however the path to enlightenment like many roads can have many bumps and pot holes. The destination is worth the lack of gold paving.

Focus on personal responsibility for one's actions. Also the importance of the here and now (mindfulness) rather than preparation for life after death
I'm not sure I want to be detached or escape samsara

Buddhism is not a creed, it is a doubt. An ideal doubt for liberal capitalists: meditate in order to make more money ;-) The unbearable lightness of being no one.

Helps to alleviate suffering for all sentient beings caught in the cycle of samsara. Gives you the wisdom to realize your true nature and with that wisdom comes true compassion.
Is death a con in life? What if there were no birth or death? No duality? These concepts only exist in your discriminatory mind. There are no pros or cons. Just ultimate reality.

I love the idea of Buddhism, and the fact it wants you to question what they teach. And they accept every kind and creed and religion.
I'm scared of the reincarnation part. I don't think I've been 'good' enough to come back as something worthwhile..

I don't know for now... don't want to repeat stuff too.
They don't really consider it as religion but as a way of thinking
