Vintage printing blocks, this beautifully finished chest of 26 drawers is made from solid oak.
This is like something from a fairy tale. :)

I’ve had this song in my head the past few days. It’s super mellow and has a really gentle, rolling guitar part that’ll make you feel like you’re slow dancing shoeless in some soft grass near a great big old tree under the stars on a warm summer night…

It’s always funny to see Stephen Colbert in places outside of his show. Here he’s being interviewed by George Stephanopoulos about his exploratory committee for a presidential campaign, and in turn taking jabs at super PACs and money as speech.

This is that montage scene from the 13th warrior where Antonio Banderas learns the language of his northern companions and your momma insults. Sometimes I find myself wanting to reference this scene, but no one knows what I’m talking about… story of my life.

This is one of them play on words from a funny beer commercial with Robb Pruit in 1999. It turns out that Auchtermuchty is a town in Scotland.

A bunch of comics about inverted situations, which almost always makes for a good joke.
A lot of my favorites are near the end.

Good food (for an airline), helpful crew, decent website, wireless and usually on time. I know it sounds pretty basic but they're way ahead of Delta or United.

Classic childhood game. I remember playing this every day on my PC, expecting to defeat the snow monster. Never did though.

Funny animated short is loaded with great visuals and some TF2-esque styling. Love the surprise at the end.

These are great—they’re simple, sleek, and reasonably cheap. They’re easy to put on & take off, they can blink or stay on, and you can get them in different colors to match your bike!

Funny how adding googly eyes to things automatically gives them a personality.

These slides have advice on how developers can incorporate more design into the things they build.
It’s mostly broad guidelines, but it jumps into some specifics on things such as typography grids and choosing colors. The slides are pretty quick and there’s also a bunch of links for further reading.

Interesting little video from the NYTimes about an ancient chess set on display at a museum. Discusses some interesting facts about how the game was changed over time.
