I'm Mike West, and I'm finding Hunch strangely entertaining! I live in Munich, Germany, and until recently was a web developer on the Yahoo! News EU team here in town. Now I work for the Süddeutsche Zeitung, one of the larger German newspapers, trying as best I can to help bring their website out of the dark ages. :)

• 04/07/09Pro: The Dom is astoundingly large. Much larger than it looks in photos. Much larger than you think it is, even after reading this comment about it's largeness. Seriously. Huge. Also, there's Kölsch. :)

• 04/07/09Pro: Freiburg is amazing. It's a sunny, small(ish) city in the southwest, and it's generally got the best weather in the country (a happy accident of topography). Bächle + Münster + Sun = Happy!

• 04/07/09Pro: These will be the shortest URLs you can produce, period.
  Con: URLs rely on client's support for internationalized domain names (which is iffy), and UTF-8 support throughout the application you're posting to (and all it's clients). Not sure if we're there yet.
