Nerd
Nerd nɚd is a term often bearing a derogatory connotation or stereotype, that refers to a person who passionately pursues intellectual activities, esoteric knowledge, or other obscure interests rather than engaging in more social or popular activities. Therefore, a nerd is often excluded from physical activity and considered a loner by peers, or will tend to associate with like-minded people.

Geek: Knowledgable person of all things computer related.
Nerd: May be knowledgable, but takes computing too seriously.
Dork: Not very knowledgable of computers and usually acts in an unusual way.

either the definition of nerd is shifting, or I'm more comfortable with myself than I was in jr. high, or some combination of the two is occurring
I could be so nerdy I don't see how much of a nerd I really am.

I would have disagreed if it wasn't for the last sentence in the definition.
Its relatively subjective. That statement just proves it doesnt it?

Wonderful! I love being a nerd.
I prefer the term geek, and I think it was rather heavy emphasis on technology. I'm a physics and literature nerd too!

Despite the hatred of nerds and all things "nerdy", nerds are the wheel that makes the world go round. They are the ones who obsess over problems that—when solved—change the way we live.
Nerds aren't fashionable. I prefer being a geek with some nerdy traits (video games, unusual love of japanese manga/anime). The whole "rich nerd" thing is a myth.

I am a nerd and I am glad to have it confirmed, sort of legally. LOL I always knew it and am PROUD to tell others. I love being intelligent and love that I cannot get enough of learning everything.
I wish there were more questions on the quiz. A more pleasing description would be nice too. I think it would erase some stereoptypical misconceptions. I am social. I love being alone to read etc

Geek and nerd are not synonymous. Geek implies technical preoccupation while nerd focuses on social inadequacy. That's my personal take on current usage.

I can be very nerdy, but I'm more nerdy about things like the arts and literature than about technology. There is variety in everything, I suppose, and knowledge is indeed power.
I don't see any cons for this- I'm happy the way I am in this case. Plus, I love me some nerdy boys.
