Fantastic idea for a video, first of all. Secondly, this song is so catchy you'll be hearing it in your head for days after it ends. I just keep coming back to these guys. Crazy catchy pop sure to bring in summer on the right note. Electronic Synth Pop the way it was meant to be made. No excuses, just good music.

One of the most chilled out songs ever written. Perfect balance of the unbalanced and the ethereal other world. Strangely relaxing, strangely strange. One of my personal favorite tracks from one of my personal favorite artists. His whole discography is worth looking into, but this is a good one to start with. Seriously under rated powerhouse from New Zealand. Connan Mockasin needs to be heard.

The actual petition is a very heartfelt and expressive plea to have Weird Al play the next halftime show at the 2012-2013 NFL Super Bowl. I signed it, and I think it's a funny, harmless and goofy gesture. And who knows, maybe they'll get their goal of a million signatures?

Bradford Cox is the front man of the band Deerhunter. In his solo project, "Atlas Sound", he takes what seems to be everything he loves about Deerhunter's sound and strips it down bare, to only it's essential components. What comes out is at time haunting and beautiful, mellow and laid back, or even pop catchy. A great third solo effort from one of my favorite musicians today.

One of the most raw, driving, original punk rock albums ever released. This debut album from Wire came out in 1977, and they only got better, louder and stranger. My personal favorite track off this whole album (thought there are many great ones) is Ex-Lion Tamer.

Everyone knows how great Kubrick is. But how about Peter Sellers? George C. Scott? Slim Pickens? James Earl Jones? This is one of the best possible casts for this movie to have come up with. And a script to match! ..."I do not avoid women, Mandrake. But I do deny them my essence..." Great film making all around for this one, one of the strangest movies you'll ever love. "Mein Führer! I can walk!"

Not for the faint of heart. This documentary looks at the life of Bob Flanagan, a performance artist who's pieces include nailing his penis to a board while he cracks self-deprecating jokes. (You watch it.) A tragic, odd, nausea inducing film about a man who's body is failing him, (He died at age 43 of Cystic Fibrosis) and how he decides to cope. Dark, disturbing, and at times...very, very funny.

Awesome store off the Austin blue line in Oak Park, IL (a suburb of Chicago). They sell new Impossible Project film that works with old Polaroid cameras. They also sell old cameras and camera equipment. The owner, Anthony, is an encyclopedia of vintage photo technology. Worth it just to stop in and check it out if you're ever around the west suburbs of Chicago. Open Tue-Sat, 11am-6pm.

Before Star Wars, there was this Orwellian nightmare. Sci-Fi drama, directed by George Lucas. Same great story telling as "The Trilogy", on a much lower budget. Must see for any fans of Orwell, Vonnegut, Huxley or Lucas. Bizarre and frightening.

A love story about 15 year old Oliver Tate. Amazing script, the movie is written and directed by Richard Ayoade. The soundtrack is incredible as well, done as a solo project by Arctic Monkey's front man Alex Turner. A wonderful sub-plot is developed between Oliver and his mother, who might be cheating on Oliver's dad, a nerdy marine biologist. A romantic comedy actually worth watching.

Produced by David Lynch, this documentary shows the life of R. Crumb, the sickest, most disturbing and genius illustrator in recent memory. Delving deep into his home and family life, along side his sexual frustrations stemming from childhood. An absolute must watch for any documentary buff, one of the best documentaries I've seen this year.

Crazy movie about two poor, near homeless drug addicts who become convinced that they can turn their lives around if they could only take a vacation to the countryside. British Indie film produced by George Harrison. Funny and original, one of the better low budget films I've seen in quite a while.

A black and white great. Kubrick perfectly encapsulates the book and the feeling of watching professor Humbert Humbert collapse into his own mind. A classic book to film adaptation. Shelley Winters plays an amazing supporting actress. Took me by surprise how enthralled I was with this one.

"A Hollywood stunt performer who moonlights as a wheelman discovers that a contract has been put on him after a heist gone wrong." Bryan Cranston should win best supporting actor. I'm not going to say anything more than this: Best movie of 2011.

One of the funniest shows on television. Ron Swanson is one of the best characters I've ever seen written, but the entire cast is perfect, and the writing will have you laughing non-stop.

One of the greatest noise albums of all time. Starts off with a screaming bang and does not let go for as long as you can listen. Absolutely memorizing. Music for only the most tolerant listeners.

This album has amazing guitar sound. Just the right length for an album. Superb production. One of the best albums of 2011, hands down. "I Led 3 Lives" is one of the many standout moments of the album, but the entire thing is worth several listens.

Fantastic album by a fantastic band. "Desire Lines", "Helicopter" and the last 3 minutes of "He Would Have Laughed" are pure gold. Everything else is almost as good.

Living in a consumerist dystopia, the future is run by a single company. Everyone is happy, and nobody needs to dream. Until...people start exploding from stress. A brilliant, haunting vision of the future. Asks the question, "What more could you possibly want if you're always happy"? The reason I am only giving it 4 stars is because it drags on a bit too long in the middle. Still worth a watch.

Jazz horns and hip hop beats make this entire album bounce, cook, slide and rock as The Herbaliser put together a masterful collection of samples to create their farthest "out there" album to date. Full of "turn it up" party music, the title track off the album gets it going strong and never lets down till the last beat.
