This is an awesome demonstration of how ingrained the pentatonic scale is in the human mind. Incredible.

I enjoyed reading this and the subsequent books. The storytelling is compelling, and the plot has a ton of action in it. I didn't think there'd be so much sexual violence.

This is an awesome collaboration between Bill Frisell and Matt Chamberlain. Jam yourself into space.

Did you know you can take this in parallel with Tylenol with no side effects? Take that, untreated strep throat!

Whoa! I feel so large and yet... so small. If only I were Zaphod Beeblebrox.

I randomly saw the Tierney Sutton Band last night. Serendipity.
The group is so tight, and their arrangements/reharmonizations of classic tunes are incredible. This one has them nominated next to orchestral arrangers for Grammy this year. Definitely worth a listen.

This place is really good for a light lunch. Everything is all vegan, so there's a lot of faux cheese and meat. Don't go in there expecting the "buffalo chicken" to taste like chicken, but it's still quite good and interestingly tasty. Yum.

Wow! This is an incredibly helpful article about fixing your reverb tank if you've got a Fender Blues Jr. This tank has acted up on me twice now, but this article directed me to fixing the problem myself! I still have to buy a new tank for it, but I don't have to take it in to a shop!
DIY electronics FTW!

Nice boys and girls get presents at Christmas. Naughty boys and girls get an arrow to the abdomen.

I'm not really sure what to say about this. Offensive, perhaps, but certainly funny.

If you're feeling...
...optimistic, this child is incredibly talented and adorable.
...pessimistic, it's Michael Jackson's life, all over again!

This neighborhood is absurd during the Christmas season. Literally every house has ridiculous spectacles set up. Not to be missed. Bonus: grab dinner at Frank's beforehand! (hunch.com/item/hn_4078531/franks-pizzeria/)

Cheap and fabulous pizza. A good place to stop before checking out the Dyker Heights Christmas lights (hunch.com/item/hn_1396283/dyker-heights-christmas-lights/)!

Unbelievable pizzeria tucked off Smith St. on Atlantic. Tasty, fresh ingredients and a cozy decor.

His stellar career makes this a slam dunk. Hope the committee sees it that way! No one deserves it like he does.

These little spermatozoa bike lights are great.
Very bright and also very versatile, since you can wrap them around any part of your bike.
Supposedly the little tails eventually wear out, but at $16 total for both lights, it still seems like a good deal.

Tasty Ethiopian food, comparable to Meskel (a few blocks away). Flip a coin!

Neat spot with good beer and tasty burgers. They've apparently got a bumpin' club downstairs, but it wasn't so bumpin' at 1pm when I went. This place is a good alternative when Grimaldi's is packedz0rs.

This place is awesome. Nice decor, delicious food, good service, and not terribly crowded. Excellent for taking your parents to dinner.
