Their scones are incredible (raspberry lime, buttermilk, pumpkin, orange chocolate), as are Alice's Tea and the Lavender Earl Grey Tea. Sure the decor is sort of ridiculous, but the tea and scones are legitimately awesome. Also, if you're feeling like a real meal for brunch, Alice's Curious French Toast is decadent and delicious enough to kill.

I'm probably pissing a few French people off by saying the croissant was perfected in America by some badass Vietnamese ladies, but that's just a sacrifice I must make for the sake of Truth. Seriously, holy hell these croissants are good.

I will admit "soul food" and "west coast" are totally incompatible concepts in my mind, but Hard Knox proved that the West has got chops in the soul food department. Their fried chicken (with or without waffle!) and cornbread is legit. Also, awesome beer list to accompany your deep fried and gravy soaked eats.

Crazy good ice cream like brown buttah (really just browned butter, sugar and delicious) and secret breakfast (bourbon, cornflakes and well... Secret foodstuffs). Need to go back for the red wine and coke flavored sorbet...

Delicious cake doughnuts. Like lemon thyme and blueberry cornmeal. MMM. Also, very cool space to chill in (featuring donut-related decor!).

I eat there once or twice a week. I have a serious addiction. The bulgogi burrito with sticky rice, red kimchi, and korilla sauce is my fix.

Screw the one in the picture, the Hyde Park and Lake Park OHOP is the place to be. I've tried every kind of pancake on the menu and they are ALL amazing.

Visually stunning. It's gruesome, but every time I see it, I don't think any moment is gratuitous and I wouldn't edit it any other way. So epic.

Has an EXCELLENT selection of beer, and they have just about every arcade game you can remember. I stick to Rampage, Crystal Castles, Frogger, Dig Dug and Pacman.
