No singing required. Many wonderful, full piece musical scores across sub-styles. Beautiful sounding entertainment made for one.
Cons: Ability to read musical scores almost a must. Ability to play by sound a big advantage. Serious dedication required to advance beyond the first fret position. Typically not an instrument for a "group".

An expansive topic that can take you from learning about the fundamentals of how electrons bond atoms together to the applications of how folding of proteins make a drug more potent.
Cons: To understand chemistry well, you should have an inherent desire to understand how and why things react together at a very basic level. Success does not come from routine memorization of facts.
