Pretty awesome free running club organized by Nike. I've done the one in NYC, but they have these events set up in a lot of major cities in the U.S. Great way to get in shape and meet new people. In NYC, runners congregate at the Nike store in midtown and runs are generally in central park. There are various groups separated by distance and speed. Definitely something I hope to do more often!
Just discovered this little coffee shop attached to Gershwin Hotel. Great iced coffees and lattes. Best part is - this is a cafe you can actually do work or study at. They have a library on the upstairs. And they have great sandwiches/salads, so you can order your food and go up to the library and they'll bring your food to you. Love it!
I love the Fast and Furious series, so I'm probably biased, but this one might be my favorite! The action/car racing scenes don't disappoint. I'm not gonna lie, even after all of these movies Paul Walker is not any better of an actor, nor is The Rock, Vin Diesel, or Tyrese. Still... this movie is funny and entertaining. Makes me want to drive stick again!!! :)
It's my homepage. I find that it cuts all the crap and presents the news in a way I actually want to read it. They source their articles, so I can always dive in for a deeper read. All their blogs are great... daily intel, the cut, grub street, etc. and their editorials. Plus, one of the few sites where the comments are more entertaining than annoying. Must-read for all true new yorkers. ;)
I would say this was like the "Harry Potter" of the kids born in the 1980s. Such an amazing combination of fantasy, action, drama, and comedy! Brian Jacques paints such a vivid picture of the characters and truly brings them to life by giving each creature a special voice. Sounds crazy, but these books about warrior mice and swashbuckling hares are impossible to put down.
Really amazing and cheap japanese food. I don't come here for the sushi... they have great bento boxes in the back and an AMAZING japanese bakery. One of my favorite bakeries for a delicious and light birthday cake. Ooh and great green tea ice cream. Always packed during lunch, but the lines move fast!
Used his music to study junior year of college... rediscovered him again recently and have been using his music for office work. Just pure and good acoustic rock. But I'm biased to his first album, musicforthemorningafter - not sure if his new stuff lives up to the same level.
